Hackathons foster innovation by bringing together diverse talent and encouraging creative problem-solving. This year, Sika did participate for the first time at the Zurich Hack 2023. By engaging with the tech-savvy community, Sika explored how technologies like AI, IoT, and blockchain revolutionize solutions and processes.
Fostering an Innovation Mindset: Pioneering the Future of Possibilities
The HackZurich, a gate-opener toward building long-term relationships with the innovation ecosystem, contributed to create ideas on designing an interactive platform connecting and synchronizing knowledge. 500 tech talents participated at the event from September 15 to 17, 2023. On Sunday, September 17, 13 teams presented concepts for Sika inclusive prototypes which were all working.
During the HackZurich, the developers were supervised the Sika team which is participating at the Sika Global Innovation Challenge 2023. The teams tackled the challenge and produced innovative solutions that have the potential to change the game in knowledge management. It was difficult to select only one winning team though, all contributions reflected great ideas and commitment. The winning solution centered around a chatbot which suggests answers based on customer requirements, providing product information, application methods, costs, purchase platform, contacts, and other information.
Big thanks to all participants, the organizers, mentors, Sika staff, and the team of the Sika Global Innovation Challenge (GIC) too, for their expertise and support throughout this journey.
