Bringing Back Smiles to Children
The support of medical missions in Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines have brought life-changing smiles back to thousands of children. Starting from Vietnam, the cooperation with Operation Smile has been multiplied to many more missions in Thailand and the Philippines. More than 500 Sika employees have participated as volunteers, with thius support of Sika employees, more than 5,000 patients were comprehensively screened and the lives of more than 3,200 children and their families were improved through the treatment of cleft lips and cleft palates.
Community engagement and partnerships like the one with Operation Smile are vital for Sika. In Vietnam, Sika enables even more potential patients in the countryside to reach out to Operation Smile Vietnam and register for forthcoming missions. Mutual engagement builds trust and fosters our ambition as corporate citizen. It opens doors for new opportunities by strengthening local contacts.
