Reducing housing vulnerability through working together among volunteers and Beneficiaries

Emergency housing program aim to reduce housing vulnerability through working together among volunteers and families in need. The NGO "Teto" aims to promote community strengthening through the construction of emergency housing, understanding housing as a fundamental human right and as an improvement in the quality of life.

30 employees of Sika Brazil together with the NGO “Teto” and families have accomplished the construction of transitional housing in different communities located in Sao Paulo. The construction of modular homes generates an encounter between supporters and people in need, promoting critical reflection and concrete proposals on how to overcome poverty. This process is done with a community approach, which promotes the organization and participation of the community.
