Sika supports people who are blind or vision impaired.
Support of Blind and Visually Impaired Persons
On the occasion of the International Women’s Day 2023, female staff of Sika Ghana went to a nearby School for the Blind, a small institution that accommodates women with sight disability.
The women of Sika Ghana engage with the local community to support women who have sight disabilities and to help them with their initiatives of working with their hands.
By spending time at the school, the community explained their initiative and how they are able to become a part of society by gaining skills with their hands. With this engagement, Sika aims to contribute to a society where blind and partially sighted persons have equal rights and opportunities to lead decent, fulfilling and productive lives.
"Sika helps to encourage diversity and a positive work environment for each member. Women are encouraged to strive for success and support in every aspect. The culture, the sharing of ideas and growth comes from within. Each day it is palpable how we are able to blend and feel proud to belong to an organization that aims to create strong leaders."
